A ransomware group has made good on its threat against the NHS Dumfries and Galloway health board in Scotland, releasing a significant quantity of stolen data, which includes patient and staff details, on the dark web. Julie White, the health board’s CEO, has labelled the act “utterly abhorrent.” The health board is working closely with several agencies, including Scotland police, in their response to the situation.
