Largest NHS trust hit by cyber attack

The NHS trust cancelled 2,800 patient appointments over two days due to a ransomware attack. In October, the government warned that the NHS was vulnerable to cyber attacks. Cabinet minister Ben Gummer said the NHS and government hold “large quantities of sensitive data” which is under threat from hackers, including those from foreign states.
