Leonardo partners with Cubbit for data security, opens new cyber analysis centre

Leonardo is partnering with Cubbit to implement a new geographically-distributed cloud architecture enhancing data storage security and usability. The architecture fragments data across different geographic locations and encrypts each file, ensuring resilience against cyber or physical attacks and natural disasters. The first Leonardo sites to utilize this architecture will be Genoa and Chieti. This geo-distributed technology will also help reduce CO2 emissions by decreasing data traffic, and aids in building efficient digital twins. Later development phases will explore projects like satellite data transfer.
