“Lifelock” pleads guilty to hacking and fraud charges
Robert A. Purbeck of Idaho pleaded guilty in an Atlanta federal courtroom to two counts of an 11-count indictment for computer fraud and abuse. He faces a maximum of five years in prison per count, along with financial penalties and restitution to victims of over $1 million. The prosecution agreed to recommend a maximum of 70 months in prison, while the actual amount of restitution will be determined at or before sentencing. He will be sentenced on June 18, 2024.
