LockBit Blamed, Affirm Users Impacted

Financial tech firm Affirm Holdings announced that the personal data of its card users may have been leaked due to a cyberattack on Evolve Bank, the issuer of Affirm cards. The bank was the victim of a ransomware attack by criminal organization LockBit, which gained access through a malicious link clicked by an employee. Affirm maintains their own systems are secure, and they will alert any impacted customers after they complete their investigation.
