Log4j Vulnerabilities: Over 80% of Exploitation Attempts Originated in the U.S.

Attempts to exploit the Log4j vulnerabilities for crypto mining and other cyberattacks have remained consistent over the last three months, with 83% of infiltrations originating in the US, according to Barracuda Networks. While patches have been made for the vulnerabilities, their effectiveness is limited in legacy systems. Major companies that use the Java-based logging framework are continuously updating to thwart exploitation attempts.
