Log4j vulnerability creates huge potential problems

The Log4j logging tool contains serious security vulnerabilities that can be easily exploited to compromise approximately hundreds of millions of computers globally, according to cybersecurity experts. An attack on the Belgian Defense Ministry has already been reported. Many organizations have now patched their systems, although further breaches are expected due to the wide prevalence of Log4j in software ranging from enterprise solutions to smartwatches and the challenge in identifying all vulnerable code.
