Log4j vulnerability: What to know
A vulnerability in Java-based software Log4j has potentially exposed nearly a third of all global web servers to cyber attack. The flaw affects many tech giants including Twitter, Amazon, Google, Apple, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, and Cisco, plus video game Minecraft. By Friday, 3.7M hacking attempts had already been made with 46% of them by known malicious groups. Cyber security firms warn ransomware criminals and state-backed hackers are eager to exploit the vulnerability, which exists in most web services worldwide.
