London hospitals cancel cancer surgeries after cyber-attack | NHS

Russian cyber-attackers, thought to belong to the Qilin group, have forced London hospitals – including St Thomas’ and King’s College hospitals – to cancel this week’s cancer operations after a successful cyber-attack on Synnovis, a blood test supplier. The resulting inability to provide blood transfusions led to the postponements. Six NHS trusts and a number of GP practices are affected, disrupting care for approximately 2 million people.
