London hospitals cancel nearly 1,600 operations and appointments in one week due to hack | NHS

A cyberattack by a Russian gang known as Qilin on Synnovis, a pathology specialist firm, resulted in almost 1,600 operations and outpatient appointments being cancelled in London hospitals. The affected procedures included cancer surgery, organ transplants and planned caesarean sections, among others. It remains unclear whether any patient data was stolen in the attack.
