London hospitals grapple with aftermath of cyber attack
London hospitals are dealing with the fallout of a ransomware attack on pathology firm Synnovis, causing severe disruption to services including blood transfusions at healthcare sites such as Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and King’s College Hospital (KCH). Processes such as blood tests are taking much longer due to the systems required to process them being down. KCH is working at about 70% capacity, with three out of 17 operating theatres still closed.
