London hospitals hackers publish stolen blood test data
A cybercriminal gang called Qilin has published sensitive data stolen from NHS blood testing company Synnovis, including patient details and financial arrangements between Synnovis and healthcare providers. The gang gained access to the data and caused significant disruption to hospitals and GPs, affecting more than 1,000 appointments and operations. While the gang claims its actions are a protest, it has previously engaged in ransomware attacks to extort money from other healthcare providers.
