London hospitals hackers publish stolen blood test data

Ransomware hackers known as Qilin have attacked IT firm Synnovis, used by two NHS trusts in London, locking their IT systems, and stealing personal data. It is not known if the firm negotiated with the extortionists, but the criminals have begun publishing some of the stolen data online. Security officials say ransomware criminals increasingly target healthcare firms due to the potential for significant harm and potential high ransom payouts.
