London hospitals hackers publish stolen blood test data

A cybercriminal group named Qilin has published sensitive patient data stolen from NHS pathology testing provider, Synnovis, from a hack carried out on 3 June. Ciaran Martin, cyber security expert, describes it as one of the UK’s most significant cyber-attacks, causing disruption to over 3,000 hospital and GP appointments. Synnovis is analysing the data, whilst the ransomware hackers demanded a ransom payment in bitcoin.
