London Hospitals Hit by Cyberattack Impacting Blood Transfusions

Several London hospitals had their services disrupted after lab services provider Synnovis confirmed a ransomware attack. Patients using NHS services at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, King’s College Hospital and GP services across South East London were affected by this cyberattack, which the firm reported to the police and the Information Commissioner’s Office. This incident marks the third ransomware attack on Synlab AG, Synnovis’ parent company, in the last 12 months.
