London Hospitals Knew of Cyber Vulnerabilities Years Before Hack

A cyberattack on a significant supplier has exposed weaknesses in the cybersecurity infrastructure at several major London hospitals. The Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the hospitals, had known about vulnerabilities for several years and failed to meet UK health service data security standards, classifying cybersecurity as a “high risk” to their operations as recently as April, according to reports.
