London hospitals: Trainee medics urged to help after cyber-attack

Medical students in London have been called on to assist hospitals following a significant ransomware cyber-attack. The students were asked to participate in 10 to 12-hour shifts to help deliver blood tests due to disruptions in services provided by pathology firm Synnovis. This attack has disrupted blood transfusions and test result services. The cyber-attack is believed to have been executed by a Russian group named Qilin.
