Machine Learning Can Make Lab Testing More Precise

Researchers from the Weismann Institute and Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center have made significant progress towards personalised medical lab reference ranges, effectively moving beyond the traditional one-size-fits-all model. By using machine learning and computational modelling on over 2 billion lab results, they were successful in segmenting and predicting the health status of different patients’ groups, identifying those at risk of disease, and thus, improving healthcare.
