Major cyberattack sees NHS London hospitals declare critical incident with operations cancelled

Two London hospital trusts had to cancel all non-emergency operations and blood tests following a “major” ransomware attack. King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, along with various South London GP services, were impacted. The consequences have significantly affected patients, with blood tests not able to be cross-checked, thereby affecting transplants. The issue may take several weeks or months to resolve.
