Malicious web application transactions skyrocket 500%

Radware’s threat analysis report for H1 2023 reveals a significant shift in denial-of-service (DDoS) attack patterns, with malicious actors increasingly targeting online applications and APIs. During this period, the total number of DDoS events decreased by 33%, while malicious web application transactions surged by 500%. The most active hackers on Telegram were NoName057(16), Anonymous Sudan, and Team Insane PK. Also, the largest shares of DDoS attacks were shouldered by the EMEA region, with research and education covering almost a third of the volume.
