Malware Attacks Against IoT Devices Quadruple
IoT device security should not be outsourced and organizations need to take responsibility for this. A study by Zscaler ThreatLabz has found a 400% increase in malware attacks on IoT devices, with the Mirai and Gafgyt botnets accounting for 66% of attack payloads. The manufacturing and education sectors faced the most attacks, with the former accounting for 55% of all attacks. The interconnectedness of IoT and operational technology systems poses a significant threat.
