Malware for Apple’s macOS targets blockchain engineers of crypto exchange platform: Report

The North Korean Lazarus hacking group is reportedly using a new malware, dubbed KandyKorn, to target cryptocurrency exchange platform blockchain engineers via macOS. The group impersonates members of the cryptocurrency community on Discord channels, using social engineering attacks to trick individuals into downloading a malicious zip file thinking it is a legitimate bot for crypto transactions. The purpose of the attack is to access and steal data from the infected computers.
