Malware increasingly spread through cloud apps

Spearphishing campaigns spread malware most effectively through cloud apps, especially Microsoft products, followed by Adobe and Google, according to a Netskope report. Malicious PDF files and cloud storage apps were often used in these attacks. Wizard Spider was the dominant malware threat. Most financial attacks came from Russia and Ukraine, but China was the greatest geopolitical threat. North America and Australia experienced the most attacks, especially in the financial services and healthcare sectors.
