Man arrested over ClubsNSW data breach | Information Age
A 46-year-old man from Sydney has been charged with blackmail over the ClubsNSW data breach, which exposed the personal data of over 1 million people. The data relates to driver licenses used for sign-ins at various venues. The man was granted conditional bail and is set to appear in court on 12 June. The perpetrators had allegedly created a website days before the breach was made public, claiming to have access to personal details, but the website now shows zero records.
