Man pleads guilty to stealing former coworker’s identity for 30 years

Matthew Kierans, a high-level hospital IT administrator from Iowa stole a coworker’s identity for over 30 years. Kierans used William Donald Woods’ identity for everything from employment to applying for loans, accruing a massive debt and ultimately leading to Woods’ incarceration for the very identity theft Kierans committed. Upon confession, Kierans is now facing a possible 32 years in prison and a $1.25m fine.
