Manufacturing, Industrial Sectors Are Under Siege

Cyberattacks on the manufacturing and industrial sectors have doubled in the first half of 2024, according to a report from Ontinue’s Advanced Threat Operations. The report highlights a significant increase in cyber operations originating from China, driven by state-sponsored campaigns. The report also warned of the continuous threats from ransomware and emerging risks such as LOLSites and Infostealers. Meanwhile, the technology/IT services sector saw a decline in cyber incidents thanks to improved cybersecurity defenses.
