Mayo Clinic to use blockchain for hypertension clinical trial

Andrea Fox September 7, 2022

Mayo Clinic is partnering with Triall to implement a blockchain-integrated platform for a two-year clinical trial involving 10 research sites and over 500 patients. The platform will ensure end-to-end clinical data integrity, offering secure and decentralized data capture, document management, study monitoring, and electronic consent. Mayo Clinic investigators, regulators, and other stakeholders will have access to the platform, which also supports remote data collection and mobile access. If successful, Triall hopes to continue collaborating with Mayo Clinic on decentralized medical research.
