Medical Device Cybersecurity Alerts On The Rise

Medical device cybersecurity is a major concern which could continue to worsen. This year the US FDA issued its first ever cybersecurity recall, affecting 450,000 patients, and the following months have demonstrated a significant uptick in hacking alerts being issued previously. Pinpointing the reason behind the rise reveals the problem could be widespread and vendors are being pushed to adopt a more proactive approach to increasing the security of these devices.
