Medical IoT legislation could boost device security… if it can get through Congress

The Internet of Medical Things Resilience Partnership Act, a piece of legislation currently in Congress, aims to establish guidelines for medical device security. The act would require the FDA to form a working group of cybersecurity experts to recommend voluntary frameworks and guidelines. This could be a good first step in addressing cybersecurity vulnerabilities in medical devices and protecting patient safety.
