Medical records of Norfolk patients found in a petrol station, a King’s Lynn restaurant and on the pavement
Staff have been dismissed from hospitals in Britain’s eastern region following more than 650 confidential data leaks at the region’s National Health Service hospitals last year. In response, the region’s health trusts have said that they will be reviewing how they handle patient records to try to prevent future breaches. In some cases, the loss of data was serious enough to be referred to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
