MediSecure reveals 12.9 million Australians had personal data stolen in cyber attack earlier this year
MediSecure, an eScript provider, has exposed the personal data of 12.9 million Australians after hackers targeted the company in one of Australia’s largest cyber breaches. The company, which folded in June, revealed that full names, addresses, phone numbers, and sensitive health data among others were stolen. So far, a small portion of data has been published on the dark web. Australian citizens have been advised to be vigilant for possible scams related to the breach.
