Medtronic identifies cybersecurity vulnerability in cardiac data system

Medtronic has found a cybersecurity vulnerability in an optional messaging feature of its Paceart Optima cardiac device data workflow system. The device maker has reported it to the U.S. Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency, there have been no observed unauthorized access or patient harm related to this. Medtronic has notified healthcare organizations about the issue and has provided instructions to eliminate it.
