Microsoft Defender no longer flags Tor Browser as malware

Windows Defender was incorrectly identifying recent versions of TorBrowser as potential threats due to updates in its tor.exe file. Upon contact from TorBrowser, Microsoft acknowledged the incorrectly flagged threat and removed the detection. Users still encountering this issue should update their Windows Defender. Warnings have also been flagged on Virus Total. After criticism from users, Tor reminded the community that Windows Defender no longer identifies tor.exe as a Trojan.
