Misinformation About Immigrants in the 2024 Presidential Election
According to a KFF Health Misinformation Tracking Poll, the majority of public have heard or read claims – including false − about immigrants as part of the 2024 presidential campaign. The report shows significant partisan differences in how these claims are perceived. Additionally, misinformation has led to confusion about immigrants’ eligibility for federal benefit programs. The report also found that the campaign rhetoric has had a noticeable impact, predominantly negative, on immigrants’ personal experiences.
