MITRE launches ransomware support hub for hospitals and health systems

MITRE has launched the Ransomware Resource Center, providing healthcare professionals with tools and strategies to protect against ransomware. The center offers resources tailored to different roles and follows the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework. MITRE aims to support IT and security staff, particularly at smaller organizations, and provide guidance to help healthcare organizations prepare for, respond to, and recover from ransomware attacks. The center comes as ransomware attacks continue to target healthcare facilities, with a 45% increase in exploitation attempts in the last four months.
