Minnesota officials have urged victims of a healthcare data breach at UnitedHealth unit Change Healthcare to use consumer protection measures. The breach could affect a third of Americans, hence officials recommend everyone should assume their information was involved. Change Healthcare is offering free credit monitoring and identity theft protection for two years, but individuals can also freeze their credit to prevent fraudulent loans or credit cards.
