A study of mHealth apps revealed that all 30 examined were vulnerable to cyber attacks, despite increasing demand in the pandemic era. Research indicated that healthcare and finance industries lag behind the technology sector in security, and often prioritize new features over security. The vulnerabilities could result in unauthorized access to personal and medical data, with all the studied apps susceptible to Broken Object Level Authorization Attacks.
