More appointments and procedures delayed in aftermath of NHS cyber attack
A ransomware attack by Russian cyber gang Qilin against pathology services provider Synnovis caused several London hospitals to postpone 3,396 outpatient appointments and 1,255 elective procedures. The cyber attack, which occurred at the beginning of June, resulted in almost 400GB of data being published online. Authorities reassured patients that measures are in place to limit disruption and urged them to attend their appointments unless informed otherwise.
