More than 14 million people have been affected by TN healthcare data breaches

A Thanksgiving Day ransomware attack on healthcare company Ardent Health Services affected 30 hospitals across six states, leading some emergency rooms to divert patients. Although the company doesn’t operate in Tennessee, data breaches have been prolific in the state this year, impacting over 14 million people. Nationwide, healthcare data breaches affected double the number of individuals compared to last year, largely due to hacks originating from countries hostile to the US.
