More than 200 ‘life-saving’ operations cancelled by NHS hospitals after cyberattack

Due to a major cyberattack on the NHS hospitals in London, over 200 emergency and life-saving operations, including cancer treatments, were cancelled. The attack targeted Synnovis, a supplier of pathology services to the hospitals. While the extent of the disruption is unknown, it has caused a significant strain on system resources. The ransomware attack on Monday is suspected to have been carried out by Russian cybercrime group Qilin.
