More than 591 million EU Digital COVID Certificates issued since June 2021

Over 591 million EU Digital COVID Certificates (EUDCC) have been generated, allowing for safe travel within Europe. The EUDCC is currently the only system in operation at an international level and has set a “global standard.” So far, 43 countries across four continents are plugged into the system, with discussions ongoing for more countries to join. The EUDCC has been beneficial for the air transport sector, with passenger volumes doubling in July 2021 compared to the previous year.
