Morrisons breaches Sunday trading laws to help NHS workers

Morrisons has violated Sunday trading laws by scrapping browsing hours and opening its stores in England and Wales for its National Health Service (NHS) staff members starting 9 a.m. The law allows stores over 3,000 sq ft to remain open only for six hours between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., but Morrisons’ decision to extend its hours aims to support NHS workers amid Covid-19.
