The group was discovered by cybersecurity company Sygnia, which noticed its client’s network was compromised and used to access another victim’s systems. The team found GhostEmperor using a more advanced set of tools, including a kernel-level rootkit, for stealthy operations, sparking concerns about the increasing sophistication of cybersecurity threats.
