National dental program leaves the vulnerable behind, critics say

The Canadian Federal Government is launching a CDN$13bn oral health initiative to provide dental insurance to approximately 9m uninsured Canadian residents. The plan is due to begin by the end of this fiscal year and will initially cover children aged under 18, the disabled and senior citizens. However, some critics say the program may not be all-inclusive and could face hurdles such as treatment limitations and dentist availability.
