Nationwide blood drive launched to help hospitals at centre of cyber attack

Several London hospitals have had to cancel many operations and tests due to a ransomware attack by Russian cyber criminals. The affected hospitals, which include King’s, Guys’, Royal Brompton, Evelina Children’s Hospital and St Thomas’, aren’t able to match patients’ blood types at their usual rate. As a result, the NHS has issued an urgent appeal for type O blood donors.
