NCSC: AI will increase speed and scale of critical infrastructure attacks

The UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has issued warnings about the increasing threat of AI-fuelled cyber attacks on critical national infrastructure. The NCSC’s annual review highlighted a rise in state-aligned threat actors seeking to disrupt vital services such as hospitals and energy organizations. It also warned of increasing tactics, including ransomware and DDoS attacks. Continued advancements in AI technology and geopolitical tensions have also heightened risks to UK electoral processes.
