Nearly 130,000 affected by ransomware attack on cold storage company Americold

Americold, the world’s largest temperature-controlled warehouse firm, suffered a ransomware attack in April affecting approximately 130,000 people. The breach exposed names, addresses, Social Security numbers, financial account details, and health insurance and medical information of current and former employees and their dependents. Customers were advised to cancel or reschedule deliveries during the attack. This is Americold’s second cyber attack, with another incident reported in November 2020.
