‘Nearly All’ AT&T Customers’ Call And Text Records Stolen
AT&T has disclosed a large data breach affecting nearly all its customers’ call and text records. Hackers gained unauthorized access to this data, stored on third-party cloud platform Snowflake, between May to October 2022. While the data contains phone numbers and potentially cellular location details, it doesn’t include call content, Social Security numbers or other PII. AT&T has accused poor account credential hygiene, not a platform vulnerability, for the breach.
