NeHC lays out 4 routes to HIE success

The National eHealth Collaborative’s Health Information Exchange Learning Network has developed recommendations for addressing challenging HIE issues. The recommendations, compiled in a series of whitepapers titled “Following the NeHC HIE Roadmap: Four Routes to Success,” aim to accelerate the widespread deployment of interoperable HIE. The whitepapers include a formula for achieving financial sustainability, a critique of current interoperability standards, strategies for addressing HIE needs, and case studies. HIE organizations that provide business intelligence and data analytics can play a powerful role in improving quality and cost outcomes.
