New Dangerous Android Malware With 300,000 Installs Can Steal All Your Data: What We Know

Around 14 harmful Android applications, carrying a malware called Xamalicious, have been installed on over 300,000 devices based on a report by McAfee. Google has removed these apps from the Play Store, but the malware, present since 2020, continues to threaten devices unless manually removed. Additionally, there are 10 apps carrying Xamalicious on third-party stores. The malware can access phone details and install other harmful apps. Users are advised to download apps only from the Play Store and carefully review any apps from third-party stores.
